An opportunity exists for an assistant within the Capital Allowances Advisory Services group of the Tax function situated in Canary Wharf.
The department provides a capital allowances compliance and advisory services to a range of clients across all lines of business including real estate, retail, hoteliers etc.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Working collaboratively, assisting with the delivery of client engagements
- Attend client meetings with management and work to deliver action points
- Preparing capital allowance claims for submission to HM Revenue & Customs
- To work within budgets and timescales provided Assisting in the preparation of proposals
Qualifications and Skills
- Deep specialist knowledge and understanding of the capital allowances legislation Good level of awareness of the property matters including cost estimating
- Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own work
- Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work
- Analyses problems, identifies core issues, investigates, evaluates and integrates information.
- Communicates with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear
Experience and Background
ACA, CTA, ATT or MRICS (Chartered Surveyor) qualified or some relevant experience in HM Revenue & Customs as a tax inspector (or in the process of qualifying for these qualifications)
