As the first dedicated VAT specialist within the group you will have the privileged opportunity to really stamp your mark on the business and leave a legacy. Reporting to the Global Tax Director, you will work as part of a small but growing head office finance team in Luxembourg. You will assume responsibility for managing the VAT/indirect tax compliance environment for various Luxembourg based entities, including:
*Overall responsibility for all indirect tax compliance, including designing, implementing & managing appropriate control processes, handling relationships with local tax authorities & dealing with audits as they arise.
*Handling all global VAT & sales tax registrations & reporting requirements for a new Luxembourg group procurement entity (goods & services), including responsibility for all indirect taxes along the global supply chain
*Preparation of monthly & annual Luxembourg VAT returns for various other Luxembourg based group entities, including EC Sales List returns
*Ad hoc advice & support to the business and the Group Tax Director on EMEA VAT issues as they arise
*Good working knowledge of Luxembourg & EU VAT.
*Experience in preparation of VAT returns, EC Sales List & Intrastat returns.
*Strong organisational & administration skills required to manage the compliance process across numerous jurisdictions.
*Ability to work independently, confidence to use own judgement, & ability to react positively to complexity & change.
