An excellent opportunity for an employment taxes manager to join a large accountancy firm. Working as part of a countrywide team you will advise a broad spread of clients (ranging from multinationals to growing OMBS, and the public sector). You will be involved in business development and marketing as well as technical work. Day to day your role will involve:
• All round PAYE and NIC advice.
• Advice on flexible benefits.
• Considerable contact with HM Revenue & Customs e.g. negotiation of
dispensations, PAYE Settlement Agreements, P9D/P11D submissions
• Advice to HR departments on treatment of benefits in kind.
• All round advice on tax efficient remuneration strategies (working
closely with colleagues in share schemes/executive compensation).
• Advising on the tax and NICs implications of share schemes
• Considerable client contact – you will build a network of third
party work referrers and be actively involved in client pitches and seminars.
• Involvement with marketing to both other department within the firm
and external clients.
• PAYE health checks and due diligence;
• Review, drafting and advice on employer policy documents - typically
expenses, car schemes, relocations and working from home etc.
• Assisting more senior staff with the management of the department
including budgeting staffing etc.
The ideal candidate will already have an employment taxes background gained in practice, industry or HM Revenue & Customs. You may also be CTA qualified, though practical experience is more important in this role than a qualification. It may be that you are considering relocating to the area and if so a relocation package could be considered.
