My client, a Big 4 firm, in South Africa are looking for a Indirect Tax Assistant Manager or Manager to join their team in Johannesburg.
Johannesburg is the largest city in South Africa, by population. Johannesburg is the provincial capital of Gauteng, the wealthiest province in South Africa, having the largest economy of any metropolitan region in Sub-Saharan Africa. The city if one of the 50 largest metropolitan areas in the world and is also the world's largest city not situated on a river, lake or coastline.
The city enjoys a dry, sunny climate with late afternoon thundershowers in the summer months of October to April. Temperatures in Johannesburg are usually fairly mild due to the city's high altitude, with the average maximum daytime temperature in January of 25.6 °C (78.1 °F), dropping to an average maximum of around 16 °C (61 °F) in June. Winter is the sunniest time of the year, with mild days and cool nights, dropping to 4.1 °C (39.4 °F) in June and July.
Despite the relatively dry climate, Johannesburg has over ten million trees, and it is now the biggest man-made forest in the world.
My client is looking for the following profile:
* CA qualification is essential e.g. SAICA, ICAS, ICAEW etc.
* Tax qualification is ideal but not essential
* Experienced in Indirect Tax
* Currently at Assistant Manager or Manager level
* Big 4 background
* Mixed portfolio of clients
