An opportunity exists for a Tax Manager to join a team that is focused on the wealth management sector. The role is a new one and there is some flexibility over the precise parameters, but broadly the manager's brief will be to provide support to the senior team members on both winning and delivering work to clients. The ideal candidate would have relevant experience of the wealth management and/or private banking industry and a background in both UK corporate and personal taxes, preferably with exposure to cross-border issues.
The role is based in the UK, although as the team is part of a wider network you will work closely with colleagues in Switzerland and other areas of Europe.
Wealth management is an increasingly important part of the global financial services landscape, with assets of high net worth individuals worldwide estimated to be in excess of $40 trillion. Clients in this sector are typically private banks, wealth managers and wealth management divisions of global financial institutions and your service offering will be directed at both the tax position of these institutions and tax aspects of the products and services they provide to their clients.
