Large global banking group is currently looking for a high calibre individual with financial service experience to join this team. You will support their various deal teams and look at the tax implications and issues of their high value transactions. This truly is a rare role within banking in this market where you will work with peers who are BIG 4 and banking trained and be able to build on your existing experience.
The role holder will look at tax issues including;
* UK Corporate tax, Irish Corporate tax as relating to project, asset, corporate and structured financing;
* International tax issues relating to cross border transactions including the consideration of treaty relief and associated compliance in obtaining that relief;
* Preparing briefing memos for and liaising with external advisors to obtain tax advice for new transactions/jurisdictions;
* Consideration of the Australian income tax impact associated with transactions underAustralia's income attribution rules;
* Indirect taxes, including stamp duty and VAT;
* Understanding the impact of transactions on issues such as (but not limited to) tax capacity, carried forward losses, transfer pricing, funding sources and adverse timing issues.
