Our client is a highly successful tax software and ERP-Tax solutions business, operating in the UK and globally. An excellent opportunity has arisen to be a lead VAT consultant within an Indirect Tax systems business, and to manage client relationships and projects. You will have a direct / top level interface with clients from the start, assessing their own indirect tax processes within a global structure and advising them on alternative ERP-Indirect Tax solutions. You will take a lead role on client implementations projects, working closely with senior tax & finance professionals and with implementations partners to deliver an end-to-end indirect tax solution. You will also be involved with the sales / proposal process to new prospects, acting as a lead VAT content product specialist. To match up to this challenging opportunity, you will have a background in VAT practice (preferably in a Big 4 firm, possibly with in-house VAT experience) and more recently will have forged into a VAT systems / SAP/ Oracle-VAT capacity. You will have a very good appreciation and awareness of how VAT / indirect tax fits within the broader ERP systems framework. In addition, you will have worked with large-end multinationals in a consulting capacity, and preferably with experience of project managing VAT systems changes or SAP-VAT projects. Knowledge of indirect tax engines (e.g. Sabrix / Vertex) will be a strong advantage in the role. This is a growing team in a growth area of the tax systems market, and therefore quick progression opportunities exist for high achievers.
