Succession planning means that an opportunity has arisen for an individual who has significant experience within share schemes and is ambitions to ultimately run a team in the future. Reporting to the Director, you will deal with share schemes related work and be supported to develop client relationships and win new work. For the right individual, there is ample opportunity to develop, take on early responsibility and really shape the future of this team. A unique opportunity that would suit an individual who is working in a Big 4 firm and is keen to broaden their horizons.
*Attending and following up client meetings, including drafting proposals, etc. for Director's review.
*Working with the Director to identify new clients/targets, in particular share scheme and equity compensation.
*Management of the Form 40/42 process, using others in the department as required.
*Potential to build upon wider employment tax experience and corporate tax implications of advice, to be able to give all round service to clients.
*Preparing draft share scheme rules and supporting documentation, liaising with lawyers when required.
*Helping to develop share scheme knowledge of the wider team.
*Building strong ongoing client relationships.
*Tax or accountancy qualification.
*Significant and demonstrable share schemes experience (drafting, legislation, tax implication and advice), with exposure to wider equity compensation planning.
*Ambitious, with a view to building long term career in share schemes and employment taxes.
*Previous attendance and participation at client meetings.
*Strong communication skills both written and oral.
