A fantastic new opportunity with a boutique financial modeling consultancy has recently opened up a vacancy as a Tax and Accounting Specialist. The role will suit someone who has come from an accounting background with some tax experience but are keen to further there tax exposure and knowledge in a new role.
The role will be a split of around 60% tax and 40% accounting, you will be reviewing financial models prepared y other firms to ensure compliance with IFRS or UK GAAP, UK tax legislation and current HMRC practices, along with with reviewing audit working papers prepared by the Operis analytical team. You will also be working with expert financial modelers, explaining potentially complicated accounting and tax principles to ensure that they understand and accurately apply these to calculations. Furthermore you will be providing detailed and relevant accounting and taxation advice on calculations and the appropriate application of regulations and principles across a wide variety of financial models used to represent commercial transactions.
A successful candidate will be ACA qualified, obtained in IFRS, with broad work experience and commercial awareness, CTA qualification would be an advantage but is not essential, along with experience of VAT, Indirect taxes and property tax issues. You must be an excellent communicator who can explain ideas and concepts to non-accounting or non-tax qualified colleagues and clients.We regret that due to the high volume of applications we are only able to contact suitable candidates.
