This Big 4 Firm has an extremely successful and highly regarded Financial Services practice. It provides tax advisory, transactions and compliance services to a variety of clients in the Financial Services market ranging from some of the world's largest multinational institutions, corporations and funds.
The Firm is currently looking for a Manager to work in the Tax Accounting Risk & Advisory Services team, focusing predominately on Life Assurance clients.
The role
- Build and maintain tax relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service
- Assist in winning work by proactively managing existing clients and contribute to winning new clients.
- Manage the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical/business driven approach taken
- Be involved in the management of the team both in terms of strategy and operations and also through managing junior staff development and assignments
The candidate
- Life assurance taxation, industry and product knowledge essential
- Tax audit experience, especially for Life Assurance Groups
- Experience in preparing and reviewing tax provisions for a Life Assurance Group
- Strong knowledge of the tax compliance, reporting and risk management requirements of a Life Assurance Group
- Extensive knowledge of the accounting for and the disclosure of tax under IAS 12 and / or FAS 109
- Practical experience of working with actuaries on tax considerations within MCEV and within a Solvency II environment
