Immediate start: Temporary Tax Manager Position working for an international bank. You will be working in a tax team of 5, reporting directly into the UK Head of Tax. They are based in fantastic offices in the heart of the city of London. This is an opportunity not to be missed?
Core duties of the role
* Corporation tax compliance: (preparing and submitting tax returns, managing all relevant claims and elections; calculating and arranging tax payments).
* Assist in calculating accounting entries for tax provisions and tax charge.
* Contribute to managing overall UK tax position of the bank and it's entities. Regular monitoring of payments and repayments, optimise group relief position, identify opportunities for tax planning and potential tax risks.
* Undertake tax projects and technical reviews e.g. transfer pricing studies as required.
* Contribute to strong and effective relationship between the bank and HMRC eg. accountable for resolving specific outstanding issues.
* Tax Accounting/Year End Reporting of the P&L and balance sheet tax positions of the bank.
The successful candidate will..
* Chartered Tax Advisor / ACA qualification
* Have an understanding of tax accounting/reporting
* Have a proven track record managing UK
tax compliance / payments process for complex international financial services group
* Have good numerical and analytical skills and excellent time management
* Be a specialist user knowledge of Abacus software
* Have experience of working in large organisations (banks, professional firms etc.)
