Central London based Top 10 firm with a highly successful Tax division requires an Assistant Manager to join its Value Added Tax team. This position has come about due to organic growth throughout the national Indirect Tax group, which now has over 60 specialists, and the need for an ambitious individual to enter the team at the junior managerial level. This organisation prides itself on basing reward on performance, meaning that a successful individual will be remunerated in this meritocratic environment.
Reporting to the Senior Manager and Director, and tasked with mentoring junior members of the team, the key responsibilities are as follows:
- Seeking solutions to technical issues faced by clients
- Producing high quality VAT advice accurately whilst responding quickly to client demands and deadlines
- Participating in business development opportunities and working with partners to promote the firms VAT expertise
- Planning and performing VAT consultancy assignments
- Mentoring and coaching executives
- Mitigating risks by involvement of senior people and ensuring appropriate advice is provided when necessary
Whilst being ATT/ACCA/ACA/CTA qualified or equivalent is preferable, this is not essential. It is essential however, to have current VAT knowledge and experience working within Tax.
