VAT Accountant required for a world leading organisation. Known as a fun funky brand it has an unrivalled working culture and is a great place to grow your career. VAT compliance is largely outsourced so the role will be based around review and process improvement. You will be involved in the following:
В· Involvement in VAT compliance across approximately 30 European countries;
В· Maintenance of a VAT compliance calendar (VAT payments, VAT filings, VAT reconciliations)
В· Maintenance of a VAT provisioning and reporting software tool
В· Support on quarterly VAT reporting and VAT SOX processes
В· Review of certain UK and Overseas VAT returns prepared by external advisors and retained finance.
В· VAT support on cross border VAT reclaims
В· Assisting on other compliance issues including HMRC enquiries and other VAT audits in Europe;
В· Research and analysis on smaller projects and/or in assisting the VAT Manager or Tax Director on larger VAT projects;
You will ideally be accountancy/ tax qualified with at least 3 years experience in VAT issues. The role would suit someone analytical and technically sound.
